Two days field visit cum animal health camp  at Sadi, Sago and Nyodu village under Lower Siang District  

 

Two days field visit cum animal health camp under TSP was conducted by ICAR AP centre Basar conducted at Sadi, Sago and Nyodu village of Lower Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh from 6-7th of March 2018. Dr. Doni Jini, Scientist (Veterinary extension) Coordinator of the programme delivered lectures on livestock and poultry production technologies in particular for cattle pigs and poultry. Dr. B.Yomagam (T-4) Animal science delivered lecture on health aspect their prevention and control measure with recommended vaccination schedule for FMD, Swine fever (SF), Ranikhet and fowl pox. Similarly a method demonstration for vaccination of cattle and poultry, administration of oral deworming drugs was done to the farmers .During these two days programme around 500 chicks (between 0-5 days) were vaccinated against Ranikhet disease. Total around 32 farmers of the village were provided mineral mixture, vitamins supplements, antibiotics, antihelmemthics, endecticde alongwith some first aid kit. The farmers of the three villages appreciated the effort of ICAR AP Basar and suggested for such activities on routine basis particularly during pre and post monsoon periods.
