Animal Health conducted at Goiliang by ICAR, KVK, Anjaw.

First ever Animal camp was held at Goilang circle under Anjaw district, organized by ICAR, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Anjaw on 27th August 2015. Dr. Tilling Tayo, Programme coordinator i/c, leading the teams of scientific staff of KVK, stock man of Veterinary Department Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Hayuliang and coordinating the president of Nyilang farmers club, successfully organized the Animal Health camp, considering the local needs of farmers to prevent and control the disease which have negative effect on the animal performance thereby reducing the income generation due to morbidity and mortality of animal.

As many as 170 Pigs, 10 Goats, 20 mithuns, 15 cattle and 120 poultry have been dewormed and more than 57 animal including (pig, goat and poultry) had been diagnosed and symptomatically treated accordingly. Although many farmers could bring their animal on spot but come up with history of illness and related problems of their farm animal. Programme concluded with visit to piggery farm of rural youth where 15 out of 25 piglets were suffering from diarrhea and malnutrition.
